Stand Cricket Club
We’re a very friendly, social local sports club running 3 senior cricket teams and 5 junior age group teams. The club joined as a founder member of the Greater Manchester Cricket League in 2016 moving from the Lancashire County Cricket League.
During the time with the GMCL, the 1st XI have won their respective league twice gaining promotion to the GMCL Premier League for the 2019 season and the 2nd XI have also established themselves within the pyramid system gaining promotion in the 2019 season. Further to this, our 3rd XI were champions of their Sunday League division in 2019.
The club has also gained success at junior level and runs a vibrant junior section boasting a number of district representatives, with fully qualified coaches across all age levels from 6-16 where players feed into the senior section. The club offers cricket facilities at our picturesque Hamilton Road facility, including recently installed new net and training facilities which were installed in 2019 through a funding bid with Viridor, and boasts over 150 members.
